⚾ Votes are in! Find out fans' YAIAA baseball preseason player of the year

Update April 15: West York's MJ Vottero captured the most votes.

Weather has not been on baseball players' sides this season.

It's standard to start the baseball season in cold temperatures, but an abundance of rain has added to the misery this year. Some teams have only played two or three games, while others are closer to five or six.

Red Lion, South Western and Bermudian Springs remain undefeated through games played by April 5. That means players are starting to pile up some impressive stats.

We want to know who the fans think tops the list of candidates in the running for preseason player of the year honors, based on game results reported to the York Daily Record by league coaches. Baseball players must have double-digit at-bats and at least a .400 average or double-digit innings pitched with an ERA at or below .200.

If you believe we are missing someone, please make sure your coach is submitting game results and stats to scores@ydr.com. The poll will close at 5 p.m. Monday, April 15.
