A Littlestown teen was arrested Jan. 25 for allegedly using a gun to rob a pizza delivery man.

Logan Matthew Alexander, 18, and a 17-year-old accomplice allegedly robbed the man at gunpoint in the 1000 block of Blooming Grove Road, according to an affidavit filed with District Judge James Miner. The minor is still being investigated.

Alexander is a senior at Delone Catholic High School, which was confirmed by Delone Catholic Principal Maureen Thiec. A member of the basketball team, he was averaging more than 19 points per game this season.

Delone Catholic boys' basketball coach Lawrence Williams declined comment.

The delivery man told police that he was sent to the location to deliver two pizzas in the evening, but no one was there to meet him, the affidavit states. He called the customer, who said he would arrive shortly. Alexander and the juvenile then approached his vehicle asking for the pizza, and as the delivery man handed it to the juvenile, Alexander pointed a gun at him and demanded his money, police said in the affidavit.

Alexander and the juvenile took $25 from the man and fled into a wooded area, the affidavit states.

Police located Alexander's vehicle across the street from the scene. When he returned to his vehicle, he initially denied being involved with the robbery but later admitted to police that he was, the affidavit states.

The juvenile's identification was in Alexander's vehicle, and the delivery man identified the juvenile as one of the robbers, police said in the affidavit.

Alexander told police he was wearing a mask and had a gun, but it wasn't a real gun, the affidavit states. He also directed police back to the scene of the incident and showed them his escape route, the affidavit states.

McSherrystown Police Department assisted Penn Township Police with the investigation, using their K-9 unit at the scene of the robbery. The investigation is continuing, and police are anticipating an arrest of the juvenile, according to Penn Township Police Chief Jim Laughlin.

Alexander was taken to York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 and charged with robbery, conspiracy and corruption of minors, according to online court documents.

His attorney information was not listed and he has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 16, documents state.
