Bermudian Springs' team wrestling season ended in the preliminary round of the state tournament on Monday night.

Wyalusing Valley won six straight bouts from 145 pounds to 195 pounds to earn a 34-31 victory in the PIAA Class 2A opener.

Wyalusing got falls at 160 and 195. Ashton West's loss at 152 went down to the first tiebreaker criteria for a 2-1 decision during the back-breaking run.

Bermudian opened the match on a tear, recording three falls as the Eagles won four of the first five bouts. Landon West (113 pounds), Dylan Griffie (126) and Trenton Harder (138) posted falls in the first half of the match before Wyalusing flipped the script.

Noah Fleshman added a major decision at 220 pounds, and Korey Smith posted a fall at 106.

The Eagles now turn their attention to the individual postseason, beginning with sectionals Feb. 18. The team ends its season with a 21-3 record.
