Morgan pushes Central past Dallastown

Central York 39, Dallastown 30: Brett Morgan’s fall in 3:37 at 120 pounds propelled the Panthers to a tight victory against the Wildcats.

The Panthers held a 27-24 lead after Michael Wolfgram’s 2-0 decision at heavyweight and pushed that lead to nine with Logan Paluch’s fall in 1:24 at 106 pounds. A Darin Wise forfeit victory at 113 brought the Wildcats to within three heading into Morgan's match-deciding victory.

The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead at the start of the match with Dalton Daugherty’s decision at 126 pounds before Xavier Musti, Dylan Chatterton, Orion Musti and Steven Clawson ran off 18 consecutive points from 132 to 152 pounds to build an 18-3 lead.

Matt Ross and Drake Pew answered with back-to-back victories — a fall by Ross and a decision by Pew — to pull to within six. Isaiah Dickson’s fall at 182 doubled the Panther advantage to 24-12. Consecutive falls from Jack Marks and Bryce Shields evened the score at 24 heading into the 285-pound bout.

The Warriors also received falls from Xander Holloway (126) and Joey Romjue (170). The visiting Trojans received falls from Anders Thomas (145), Andrew Frey (182), AJ Johnson (220) and Nick Knight (106).

Bermudian Springs 64, Fairfield 6: Darren Beall and Ashton West recorded consecutive tech falls at 145 and 152 pounds to lead the Eagles to a victory over the Green Knights.

Only four of the 14 bouts were contested as the Eagles received forfeit victories in nine of those matches, the 10th being a double forfeit. The Knights received victories at 120 and 132 in the other two contested bouts as Page Karsteter and Cody Small each won by decision.
