At state indoor track meet, vaulters lead the way for YAIAA

A pair of pole vaulters posted the best finishes among YAIAA athletes at the Pennsylvania indoor track and field state championship meet Saturday in State College.

Eastern York senior Brady Glatfelter finished in a three-way tie for fifth place in the pole vault with a 14 feet, 6 inches.

On the girls' side, Spring Grove's Nathalie Elliott finished sixth with a vault of 11-6.

The William Penn boys finished ninth in the 800-meter relay, finishing in 1:32.02.

Eastern York's Maddie McLain took 11th in the 3,000-meter run, posting a time of 10:43.07.

Finally, Spring Grove senior Zoe Stauffer just missed out on the 60-meter hurdles finals, taking 17th in her heat with a 9.39.
