Central York girls' volleyball earns sweep, advances in state tournament


In Covington Township, Emily Poole recorded 15 kills as the Panthers swept Delaware Valley, 25-13, 25-8, 25-20, in the opening round of the PIAA Class AAA tournament at North Pocono High School.

Kamryn Stambaugh chipped in with 10 kills and Allison Rife had eight. Setter Emma Saxton racked up 34 assists.

Central will face the winner of Bishop Shanahan and Cumberland Valley in the quarterfinal round Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
