Thursday's district volleyball roundup: York Catholic rolls into final

York Catholic 3, High Point Baptist 0: Eliza Johnson snapped 16 kills to help the Fighting Irish sweep their way into the District 3 Class A tournament championship match. The Irish beat High Point Baptist, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20, at Hempfield.

Emily Hoffman chipped in with seven kills, seven aces and 16 digs for York Catholic, while Rachel Shelley had eight kills.

The Irish advance to face Lititz Christian in the championship game Saturday at Dallastown. The starting time for the match is to be determined.
