Dallastown field hockey falls in District 3 quarterfinals

HERSHEY 2, DALLASTOWN 0 >> After registering just one shot in their District 3 Class AAA first round victory, the Dallastown field hockey team found equally tough sledding offensively against No. 5 seed Hershey on Saturday, dropping their District 3 quarterfinals contest at Manheim Township by a final score of 2-0. The Wildcats didn't register a shot in the defeat.

Goaltender Syd Terroso was outstanding in the season-ending loss, stopping 22 shots while defender Gretchen Ludwig also registered a defensive save, clearing a ball off the goal line that got behind Terroso. The Wildcats ended their season with a 19-3 record.

Mya Christopher opened scoring for the No. 5-seeded Trojans at 25:36 of the first half with Natalie Sicher picking up the assist. Sicher provided the insurance tally at 7:23 of the second half to close out scoring.
