Summary: Lizzie Pittman scattered 5 hits and gave up just a lone run in the first, as James Buchanan downed visiting Biglerville 16-1 in varsity softball action Monday. Alli Sowers stroked an RBI single in the first, but that was all the Lady Canners could put together to cross the plate in a non-league game. Jenna Mongold collected 4 hits including a 2-run home run to lead the Rockets on offense.

Biglerville falls to 2-6 overall and remains 2-3 in league play.

Waynesboro highlights: Pollock gave up only 5 hits but 2 home runs. Katie Wise hit a bases-clearing double in the second, and Hannah Wile drove in a run on two hits. Chelsea Cover had two hits.

Summary: Susquehannock scored two runs in the fifth on singles by Tyler Williams, MacKenzie Gibson, and Kenndra Gemmill. Eastern came back in the top of the seventh inning to score three runs and take the lead for good. Singles by A. Forry and B. Mevnel were followed by two errors, plating three unearned runs for Eastern. M. Dobbeck, M. Winter, and A. Forry each had two hits for Eastern. Tyler Williams, Anna Bryan, and Kendra Gemmill each had two  hits for Susquehannock.
