Wednesday's softball roundup: Biglerville erases York Catholic's lead for 19-6 victory

BIGLERVILLE 19, YORK CATHOLIC 6 (F/5) >> Biglerville answered the early call by York Catholic with big innings in the third and fourth.

The Irish led 6-0 before the Canners plated 15 runs in the two innings.

Lauren Brough led the attack with three hits including two doubles. Morgan Orndorff, Alli Sowers, Courtney Taylor and Maddie Wenk added two hits each for the winners. Wenk came in relief in the first to get the win. The Canners also took advantage of 14 walks to aid their cause.

DOVER 8, SUSQUEHANNOCK 6 >> Natalie Cutright gave the Eagles the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning with a two-run double as her team edged out the Warriors in a matchup of two top teams in Division II.

Lexi Gohn was on the mound for the win, striking out two batters. She helped her own cause at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Susquehannock's Maddy Staub and Lily Yoakum each rapped two hits.
