Thursday's softball roundup: Central York rebounds from first loss by pummeling New Oxford

CENTRAL YORK 23, NEW OXFORD 5 (5) >> The Central York offense erupted for 23 runs, with 20 of them coming in final three innings in their shortened win.

Every Panthers player to approach the plate recorded a hit, a run scored or an RBI — or in some cases, all three.

Briannah Dobson cracked four hits while Monica Albers led with four runs scored. Alyssa Stonebraker and Kyla Caruso each had three RBIs. Leadoff hitter Kayla Resh went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs.

Sierra Megonnell led the Colonials with two RBIs in the loss.

HANOVER 15, YORK CATHOLIC 0 (3) >> The Nighthawks batters stayed patient at the plate, drawing 17 walks in the home win. Hanover's Lauren Smith had a double, and Sara Durika picked up the win with five strikeouts and one walk.

Harbold picked up the win for Dallastown as she struck out five and walked one. Kolb came on in the fourth, striking out the side.

WEST YORK 8, SUSQUEHANNOCK 7>> Gabby Ilyes hit a triple and recorded three RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Susquehannock tied the game with three runs in the top of the seventh, but West York won it in walk-off fashion by scoring in the bottom of the seventh.

Susquehannock's Maddy Staub hit two home runs and came on in relief.
