Dover wins Hanover tournament


The Dover girls' basketball team rolled through the competition at the Hanover Holiday Tournament, and took home the tourney title in the process.

After beating Chambersburg 42-25 on Thursday in the tournament's opening round, the Eagles topped Hanover 64-25 on Friday to win the crown.

In the title game, senior Rayah Fink led the way with 28 points, draining five 3-pointers in the process. Rayah's sister Rajah, a junior on the Eagles, added 13 points.

The game was tied 13-13 after the opening quarter before the Eagles outscored the Nighthawks 10-3 in the second; 29-6 in the third; and 12-3 in the fourth.

Avery Martz led the Nighthawks with seven points.

The Eagles are now 8-1 on the season, while Hanover is 5-4.
