Christian School of York girls' season ends


The Christian School of York girls' basketball team drained six 3-pointers, but it was not enough as North Penn-Mansfield earned a 51-30 victory Saturday in the first round of the PIAA Class A tournament at Wellsboro.

Alysa Pavey-Bostic led the District 4 champs  with 14 points, nine of those from behind the 3-point line. Teammate Ali Hillson added 14 of her own and Sara Wolbert added 11 for North Penn-Mansfield (25-3).

The Crusaders saw their season end at 19-9 after their second consecutive trip to the state tournament.

They were led by Kendis Butler, who scored a team-high 10 points in the loss. Butler scored six of those points off 3-pointers.
