West York drops close game vs. McDevitt


West York's girls' basketball team was unable to hold off a fourth-quarter rally and fell, 48-47, to Bishop McDevitt on the road in the first round of the District 3 Class AAA first round Wednesday.

Olivia Fasick led the charge for McDevitt with 21 points, and Mikayla Ruth chipped in with 12.

The Crusaders went 22-for-38 from the foul line, while West York only converted 18 of their 30 attempts.

Paige Weekly led the Bulldog offense with 13 points.
