Roundup: Third-quarter run lifts Rockets


Darin Gordon scored 24 points and Eli Brooks added 22, leading Spring Grove to an 87-47 victory over York County Tech. Grant Wierman also chipped in 15 points.

Spring Grove took a 10-point lead at halftime but tore open the game with a 30-14 third quarter.

Kahleik Savery led York County Tech with 20 points.

Northeastern 86, Kennard-Dale 45: Kobi Nwandu scored 22 points, one of five Bobcats in double-figures, in the YAIAA Division II clinching victory over the Rams.

In addition to Nwandu, Jordan Zirkle scored 12, Donovian Maxfield chipped in with 11 while both Antonio Rizzuto and Jeremiah McCarter added 10.

The Rams received a team-high 12 points from Kyle Wooldridge.

Despite scoring 82 points the visitors had just two in double-figures as Aaron Ward chipped in with 11 points. Twelve Wildcats scored on the evening.

Adam Hedgeland led the Warriors with 13 points.
