Roundup: Davis drives York Catholic to victory

York Catholic 64, Bermudian Springs 34: DeAndre Davis’ 15 points led York Catholic to a 64-34 home win over Bermudian Springs on Wednesday. The Irish used a 22-5 first quarter scoring advantage, and had 12 players score in the victory.

Quinton Nace netted 12 to lead the Eagles.

Gettysburg 58, Dover 44: Gettysburg held off a third-quarter comeback attempt by Dover to defeat the Eagles.

The Warriors led by five at halftime, but had their lead cut down to just one midway through the third quarter. They never fell behind though, and outscored the Eagles by nine in the second half.

The win marked the third-straight victory for the Warriors, who lost three in a row earlier this month.

Ravaughn Dillard led Gettysburg with 21 points while Marquise Camel added 15. Najah Fink led Dover with 13.

Eastern York 58, York Suburban 47: Broguen Nicholas canned 21 points to lead a trio of Golden Knights in double figures as they picked up the home win.

Jared Achterberg chipped in with 16 points for Eastern, while Jarad Woods had 12.

The Trojans' Torrey Thomas was hot from 3-point range as he bucketed seven from behind the arc for his 21 points.

Spring Grove 61, New Oxford 44: Darin Gordon propelled the Rockets with 18 points as they cruised to the road win.

Eli Brooks was also in double-digits for Spring Grove as he registered 13 points.

The Colonials had three players in double figures as Devon Duvall scored 11 points, while John Wessel and Ben Lehman each had 10.

Fairfield 70, Biglerville 59: Darien Mort scored nine of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Green Knights to a win over the Canners.

The hosts held a slim 44-42 lead entering the fourth quarter when their offense erupted for 26 points in the period to pull away down the stretch.

On top of Mort’s 20, Jake Yingling added 15 points, all via the 3-pointer.

The visitors received 20 points from Noah Ayers and 18 from Nick Bell in the loss.
