Roundup: Eastern fends off late Dover rally


Dover put up a 36-point fourth quarter, but the comeback fell just short as Eastern York held on for a 75-72 victory in Friday's YAIAA boys' basketball action.

Broguen Nicholas and Jarad Woods scored a game-high 28 points apiece for Eastern, which took a 13-point lead into halftime and led by 16 entering the fourth quarter before the Golden Knights started their comeback.

Dover outscored Eastern by a 36-23 margin in the fourth quarter. Najah Fink finished with 24 points, and Keith Davis scored 21, including three 3-pointers.

Northeastern 87, Susquehannock 35: Five Bobcats players reached double digits in scoring as they cruised to victory. Northeastern's balanced offense was led by Fred Mulbah (14 points), Kobi Nwandu (13), Antonio Rizzuto (13), Brandon Coleman (13) and Jeff Reynolds (12). The Bobcats took a 48-11 lead into halftime.

Jordan McMillion paced Susquehannock with 10 points.
