Boys' basketball roundup: Northeastern holds on


Northeastern 70, Dover 64: Jeff Reynolds scored 17 points to lead four Bobcats in double-figure scoring as Northeastern edged out the Eagles.

Northeastern outscored Dover, 17-12, in a pivotal fourth quarter to hold on for the victory.

Antonio Rizzuto chipped in with 14 points for Northeastern, while Donovian Maxfield and Kobi Nwandu each had 12.

Dover’s Najah Fink led all scorers with 24 points.

Hanover 37, Bermudian Springs 24: The Nighthawks outlasted Bermudian Springs to pick up a road win.

"We came out of the gates slow and we were sort of back on our heels, not up on our toes," Hanover coach Nathan Myers said. "The start of the second half our energy was different, our effort was different. We were better on defense which allowed us to get the ball moving."

Senior guard Kyle Krout was the catalyst for Hanover, scoring 12-of-16 points in the second half. The Nighthawks briefly trailed, 18-15, at the beginning of the third quarter before taking control of the game.

The Eagles (0-4) kept the deficit below 20 points for the first time this season.
