Friday's roundup: Dover rolls past Kennard-Dale


Najah Fink scored 24 points to lead the Dover boys' basketball team to a 78-44 win against Kennard-Dale in the opening round of the Bermudian Springs tip-off tournament on Friday.

Five Dover players scored in double figures in the Eagles' balanced attack: Brady Bowman (14), Keith Davis (12), Brady Deshong (11) and Jerry O'Neal (10).

Kyle Wooldridge led Kennard-Dale with 18 points including three 3-pointers, and Adam Freese scored 15 points.

The Eagles advance to Saturday's championship game against Camp Hill, which beat Bermudian Springs, 59-37. Casey Caruso led Camp Hill with 14 points. Quinton Nace led the tournament hosts with 18 points, including four 3-pointers.

Lititz Christian tip-off 

York Country Day 81, Biglerville 55:  DeAireus Brown and Jordan Ray combined for 53 points as the Greyhounds rolled to an opening-round win.

Brown sank 12 baskets and went 2-of-4 from the line for 29 points, while Ray knocked down 10 points and went a perfect 2-for-2 from the line for 22.

The Canners were led by Noah Ayers' 24 points and Nick Bell’s 15.

The Greyhounds will face the winner of Lititz Christian and Hershey Christian in the championship game today at 5:30 p.m., while Biglerville will face the loser at 4 p.m.

Hanover 58, Newport 42: Kyle Krout netted 19 points to lead the Nighthawks to victory. Will McQueen added 13.

Teammate Michael Ball also hit double-digits with 12, all of those points coming in the final quarter of play.

The Green Knights will meet Juniata in today’s championship at 7:30 p.m. after Juniata’s 47-26 win against Mount Union.
