BOYS' SOCCER ROUNDUP: Elco cruises past Northern Lebanon, 5-1


GameTimePA.com Five different goal scorers propelled Elco to a 5-1 win over Northern Lebanon at home Tuesday. Joe Ginder and Justin Kimmet struck in the first half to hand the Raiders a 2-1 lead at the break, counteracting Kody Ream's goal for the Vikings.

Tucker Brown, Ryan Henning and Alex Puglio then added scores after intermission. Elco fired 17 shots on net and took eight corners, while Northern Lebanon yielded zero on the night. The win put the Raiders on a three-game win streak after their victory in the Ritter-Hoffman Cup against Cedar Crest on Saturday and an earlier win over Pequea Valley.

ANNVILLE-CLEONA 8, LEBANON CATHOLIC 1>> Four goals in each half highlighted a Little Dutchmen road blowout of the Beavers. Annville-Cleona senior Matt Light netted a pair of scores before and after halftime, while Gordon Parks deposited two for the game. Alex St. Clair and Javier Sanchez Gonzalez also got on the board, as did Lebanon Catholic's Joe Gates.

ELIZABETHTOWN 6, LEBANON 0>> After trailing by only one at halftime, the Cedars dropped a tough Section Two decision at home. Lebanon mustered only three shots on net, while Braydon Shuck and Braden Kreider each scored twice for the Bears.

PALMYRA 8, HARRISBURG>> The Cougars notched their second win in as many days, knocking off a Mid-Penn foe on the road. Robby Hanosek recorded a hat trick before halftime and four other players scored for Palmyra, which piled up 18 shots on net.
