Cedar Crest girls rout Cocalico, now 20-0


Make that 20-0.

The Cedar Crest girls basketball team moved within two wins of an undefeated regular season Thursday night, topping Cocalico 57-37 in a non-league affair in Denver.

Now 20-0 and looking to clinch the Section 1 title on Friday night at home vs. Penn Manor, the Falcons jumped out to a 29-19 halftime lead en route to their latest victory, which gave head coach Jim Donmoyer career win No.99.

Ariel Jones led the way for Cedar Crest with a game-high 20 points and Alyssa Austin and Rachel Witherite added 15 and 12 points, respectively, to the win. Witherite's 12 points came on 4 3-point field goals.

Lyndsay Engle led Cocalico (13-7) with 13 points.
