Elco's Bennetch, Spitler fall in 2nd round of districts

The tennis season of Elco's Mason Bennetch and Dylan Spitler came to an end on Friday. But not before the Raider doubles team added a district tournament win to their list of 2017 accomplishments.

Competing in the Class AA competition Friday at Hershey Racquet Club on Friday, Bennetch and Spitler scored a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nick Wool and Isaac Avery of Bermudian Springs in the first round, before being ousted by the No. 3 seeds, Spencer and Alex Landis of Camp Hill, by a 7-6, (7-1), 6-2 score.

Bennetch and Spitler were the lone Lebanon County team to qualify for the district doubles tourney.
