BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Lebanon doubles up Pequea, 6-3


An improving Lebanon High baseball team made some more progress on Tuesday with a 6-3 win over Pequea Valley in a Section Three-Four crossover contest in Kinzers.

Cody Kissinger fired a five-hit complete game on the mound, and added a double and two RBIs at the plate as Lebanon improved to 3-9 overall and 3-7 in Section Three. Jorge Garcia added three hits for Lebanon, and freshman Dharlim Vasquez went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Cedars, who have split their last six games.

ELIZABETHTOWN 3, CEDAR CREST 2 >> In Elizabethtown, the Falcons' frustrations continued in an extra-inning loss to the Section Two reps.

The setback left Crest 2-9 overall and 1-9 in Section One. Cedar Crest managed just four hits in the setback.

MECHANICSBURG 8, PALMYRA 0 >> Under the lights at In The Net, the Cougars got four hits from Bobby Dorta but little else while dropping to 2-7 in the Mid-Penn Keystone.

Dorta accounted for all but one of Palmyra's hits in the loss.
