Chambersburg wrestling coach Doug Rine retires


CHAMBERSBURG >> After a pair of decades at the helm, Chambersburg wrestling coach Doug Rine is retiring.

Rine just completed his 20th season at Chambersburg, where he was the second-longest tenured coach. Over the course of his time with the Trojans, Rine racked up a 185-180 (.506).

Rine produced several district champions and helped Garett Hammond to back-to-back state titles. In 2012-13, Rine led the Trojans to their first team district and state appearances. Chambersburg finished second in District 3 Class AAA.

Rine is a six-time Public Opinion Wrestling Coach of the Year.
