F-F Highlights: Chambersburg swimmers sweep Mifflin County

The Chambersburg swim teams found the water at the Chambersburg YMCA plenty fast on Thursday afternoon.

The Trojans earned dual victories over Mifflin County, 96-73 for the girls and 103-66 for the boys, in a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division clash.

"We had a very successful day," Chambersburg coach Donnie Miller said. "For the girls, 12 of the 24 swims were personal bests and for the boys it was 14 of 24. The relays did well and a lot of different kids won events."

Ashlyn Ellis won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke for the girls, and Kandace Loup (200 freestyle), Erika Rundquist (200 IM) and Abbie Reichelderfer (400 free) also had wins.

Michael Johnson was a two-time boys winner, taking the 200 and 400 free races. Also producing first-place finishes were C.J. Pong (200 IM), Avery Barley (100 fly), Jacob Greenwood (100 free), Curtis Waylon (100 back) and Ryan Kemerer (100 breaststroke).
