F-F H.S. Highlights for April 28


Chambersburg bested Carlisle in a four-set Mid Penn Commonwealth Division boys volleyball match on Thursday night, 25-13, 25-15, 18-25, 25-15.

Dalton Strite and Aaron Myers had seven kills each. Riley Washington had eight blocks for the Trojans (6-3, 6-2 MPC), who remain tied for first place with two matches left.

"We did what we needed to do get the win," Chambersburg coach Marta Cummings said. "Riley did a nice job blocking at the net and Landon (Miller) served tough (two aces). We have to continue getting better mentally and physically."

Ian Patterson had 20 assists and also led in digs with 15, while Trey Stepler contributed 11 digs.

Boys Lacrosse

State College 17, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans (1-12, 1-9 MPC) couldn't get it going against the Little Lions, falling behind 8-1 by halftime. Brandin Cosey and Riley Ocker each had a goal for Chambersburg, while Jace Hopple had an assist. Goalie Clayton Schellhase made 10 saves.

Girls soccer

Shalom Christian 9, Calvary Christian 0: Shalom Christian used its powerful offense to take down Calvary in an MDCC game, outshooting the Eagles 21-2. Brooke Emge scored five of the Flames’ nine goals, while Lexy Poe added two. Poe also had three assists for the Flames (9-1, 7-1 MDCC). Bethany Blank and Cassie Oberholtzer each scored their first goals of the season for Shalom.
