SOFTBALL: Wednesday's roundup, Ally Brown has monster day for Greencastle-Antrim
GREENCASTLE >> Led by Ally Brown, Greencastle-Antrim's softball team rolled to a 13-2 Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Boiling Springs on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils (7-2, 4-1 MPC) put up seven runs in the first three innings, and Brown capped off a five-run sixth with a grand slam to end the game. Brown finished the day 3-for-4 with a home run, two triples and five RBIs.
"The girls played well today," G-A coach Mark DeCarli said. "It was a nice division win, and hopefully we can start to go on a little winning streak here."
Katie Gelsinger finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Brooke Zeger had a double and drove in a run. Liz Ward improved to 4-0 on the mound, giving up three runs (none earned) on six hits with four strikeouts.

TUSSEY MOUNTAIN 5, SOUTHERN FULTON 0 >> Southern Fulton managed just two hits in a Sideling Hill League/Inter-County Conference loss to Tussey Mountain.
Lakyn Morton and Olivia Mottern had the only two hits of the game for the Indians (4-6, 3-5 SHL, 3-4 ICC).
SF coach Stacy Smith said, "We didn't hit well. We had way too many flyouts."
Mottern (4-6) went the distance on the mound for the Indians, giving up five runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
