TUSSEY MOUNTAIN 5, FORBES ROAD 3 >> Forbes Road out-hit Tussey Mountain on Wednesday but couldn't capitalize in a Sideling Hill League/Inter-County Conference defeat.

The Cardinals (3-2, 2-2 SHL/ICC) racked up seven hits compared to just five for the Titans, but they also committed seven errors.

"We hit too many fly balls, and just didn't hit very well," Forbes Road coach Beth Bryant said. "We also had too many errors on defense."

Hannah Purnell finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for Forbes, and Maiah Mellott was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
