HYNDMAN 8, FANNETT-METAL 2 >> Fannett-Metal's softball team couldn't muster enough offense in a non-league loss to Hyndman on Monday.

The Tigers (0-5) managed six hits but pushed only two runs across in the loss, and Hyndman pulled away with four runs in the fifth inning.

"We were able to get baserunners in every inning," F-M coach Michael DeAngelo said. "We just need to start capitalizing more."

Mandy Swailes finished 2-for-3 with an RBI for Fannett-Metal, and Kadie Cosgrove was 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Hornets.
