GIRLS TENNIS: Chambersburg swept by Lower Dauphin
LOWER DAUPHIN 5, CHAMBERSBURG 0 >> Chambersburg's girls tennis team played a couple of tough sets, but it wasn't enough in a non-league defeat at the hands of Lower Dauphin on Wednesday.
Taryn Brechbill put up a tough fight at No. 2 doubles for the Trojans (1-4). She battled to a tiebreaker in the first set but ultimately lost 7-6, and she then dropped the final set, 7-5.
Chambersburg coach Bill Wissinger said, "Taryn fought hard dropping the tiebreaker and continued to battle throughout the second set."
Paige Sideras also fought to a tiebreaker at No. 3 singles, but she too lost the first set 7-6 before falling 6-0 in the second set.
