GIRLS SOCCER: Tuesday's roundup

SHALOM CHRISTIAN 7, CALVARY 2 >> Kendall White and Tori Yoder each scored a pair of goals in the first half to lead Shalom Christian to a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference victory over Calvary Christian.

"We started this game much faster and better than our first game against Calvary (a 4-0 win)," Flames coach Pete Holdaway said. "The first three goals (White, then two by Yoder) came on rebounds, then White scored on a nice shot."

Yoder scored the first two goals in the second half for Shalom (13-0, 8-0 MDCC), and Makenzi Maun scored the other goal. Brooke Poe and Brooke Emge had assists.

Holdaway said, "Tori stayed hot and Bethany Blank had a nice game at midfield. This is our third week of three games, so it'll be nice to get a little break after Thursday."
