GIRLS SOCCER: Monday's roundup

SHALOM CHRISTIAN 4, CALVARY 0 >> Shalom Christian's girls soccer team broke a scoreless first half with four goals in the second to pick up a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference win over Calvary Christian on Monday.

The Flames (9-0, 5-0 MDCC) got on the board on a goal from Brooke Poe in the 55th minute, she and notched another goal in the 66th. Tori Yoder also had two goals, and Poe, Brooke Emge and Sarah Priest all had assists.

"We started very slow today and couldn't muster any offense in the first half," Shalom coach Peter Holdaway said. "Cavalry packed eight in the box, and we had a hard time dealing with it, but we came out much more aggressive in the second half."
