F-F football capsules: What to expect in Week 1
Dover at Shippensburg
Game data: Dover Eagles at Shippensburg Greyhounds ... Friday, 7 p.m. at Ship Memorial Stadium ... Non-league game.
Notes: Shippensburg has lost to Dover to start the past two seasons, but the tables may turn in favor of the Hounds this season.
The Eagles finished last season with four straight losses, and graduated their top running back, Durran Ledbetter. Two sophomores will control the ground game this season.
But the Greyhounds don't have those problems - they return eight starters on both sides of the ball. The first game of the season will be a big test for incoming quarterback Carter Van Scyoc, but coach Eric Foust has high expectations, especially with so many offensive weapons surrounding his junior QB.

James Buchanan at Hanover
Game data: James Buchanan Rockets at Hanover Nighthawks ... Friday, 7 p.m. at Sheppard and Myers Field ... Non-league game.
Notes: Coming off a winless season, James Buchanan will look to start the season strong against one of its smaller-classified opponents of their season.
The Rockets return no player who gained more than 100 yards last year, and have not announced a starting quarterback. Former QB Remi Spoonhour did not return to the team this season. Evan Stoner was one of the Rockets' bright spots offensively last season, with 42 rushing yards and 34 receiving yards.
Hanover, on the other hand, had just two losses last season, but the Nighthawks graduated 14 seniors.

Waynesboro at Red Lion
Game data: Waynesboro Indians at Red Lion Lions ... Friday, 7 p.m. at Horn Field ... Non-league game.
Notes: Although Waynesboro graduated three of its offensive skill players, the Indians expect to just as potent as they were a year ago, but Red Lion won't be an easy start.
Brady Beckner, Cameron Keck and Mason Frampton will carry most of the offensive load, with experienced Brady Riddell under center. The Indians also boast the return of Forrest Rhyne, an All-State linebacker and Villanova commit.
But the Lions are coming off a playoff berth and won their last four regular season games last year. Like 'Boro, Red Lion also has a host of new skill players to test out in Week 1.
