H.S. FOOTBALL: Unbeaten Camp Hill takes care of James Buchanan, 56-0


CAMP HILL >> Camp Hill, one of the top Class A football teams in the state, showed James Buchanan why on Friday night at Seibert Park, taking a 56-0 non-league victory over the Rockets.

The Lions (3-0), who have outscored their opponents 168-13 so far, scored all 56 points in the first half, including 35 in the first period.

Dynamic back Bill Williams scored three of those five touchdowns in the opening period, on runs of 42 and 30 yards and on a 66-yard punt return. He finished with three carries for 122 yards. Logan Vallati also scored twice, on a 30-yard fumble return and a 6-yard pass from quarterback Michael Shuster.

Shuster connected with Zack Kuntz twice on scoring passes in the second period, of 13 and 15 yards, and Ben Guyer had a 43-yard TD run.

For James Buchanan (0-3), Clay Sanders rushed one time and gained 34 yards, while Seth Carbaugh picked up 25 yards on 12 carries.

Rocket quarterbacks Dillon Sanders and Remi Spoonhour combined to go 6-for-18 for 39 yards and one interception. Carbaugh caught three passes for 16 yards and Colby Bradshaw gained 14 yards on two catches.

On defense, JB's Hunter Spoonhour collected 3.5 tackles, including a pair of sacks and another tackle for a loss. Evan Stoner made an interception for the Rockets.
