CARLISLE - Chambersburg competed in its first indoor track & field meet on Saturday at Dickinson College, and had quite a few athletes place.

Kelton Chastulik took the top spot in the boys shot put with a 53-1 effort. That not only met the qualifying standard of 51-0 for the PTFCA State Championships, but also the standard for the Emerging Elite for the New Balance Indoor National Championships.

The boys 4 x 800 relay team of Chris Wurtz (2:11), Matt Hoover (2:16), Donovan Hazelton (2:34) and Alex Hayden (2:09) ran an 8:59.80 to place third. Also in the top five was Reagan Winebrenner in the girls shot put, fifth with a throw of 33-4.5.
