BOYS TENNIS: Tuesday's roundup

GEORGETOWN PREP 6, MERCERSBURG 1 >> Mercersburg Academy's boys tennis team played plenty of strong matches on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough in a non-league loss to Georgetown Prep.

The Blue Storm (8-4) got their lone win from Shayan Ghodsi, who dominated his way to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles.

"Georgetown Prep is a fine team," Mercersburg coach Eric Hicks said. "I was pleased with how we played, even though the score doesn't really reflect it. Shayan was steady throughout his match and played smart tennis to give us a win."

Teddy Schoeck played a strong match, losing 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 at No. 3 singles, and Cam Pyle and Dylan Hoang were also solid at No. 3 doubles, falling 6-4, 4-6, 10-3.
