HERSHEY 4, CHAMBERSBURG 1 >> Chambersburg's tennis team picked up just one win and lost three matches by straight sets in a non-league loss to Hershey, which is 13-1, on Friday.

Jay Padalia had the lone win of the day for the Trojans (6-5). He won the first set 6-0 and dropped the second set 6-2 before rebounding with a 6-1 win in Set 3 to pick up the win at No. 3 singles.

"Jay won his first set confidently," Chambersburg coach Brad Hill said. "After losing the second set, he regained his confidence and shifted the momentum."

Nayyer Malik and Gus Wade put up a good fight in No. 2 doubles. The duo took the first set 7-6 (7-3), but then fell 6-1, 6-2.

JAMES BUCHANAN 3, CAMP HILL 2 >> James Buchanan lost the first two singles matches, but rallied for a Mid Penn Colonial Division win over Camp Hill.

The Rockets (8-7, 4-7 MPC) dominated the No. 3 singles and both doubles matches. Hunter Sowers picked up a 6-0, 6-1 singles win.

"Hunter really came back after a bad day (Thursday)," JB coach Terri Beegle said. "He was very focused and had very few unforced errors."

Isaac Shenton teamed with Matt Schofield for a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, and Luke Leidy and Micah Wise had a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

"Isaac has been very steady all season," Beegle said. "It doesn't matter who he plays with, he just takes him under his wing and they play well."
