BOYS SOCCER: Monday's roundup

SOUTHERN FULTON 4, EVERETT 4 >> Southern Fulton's Sideling Hill League boys soccer game with Everett on Monday afternoon had a similar look to the first time the teams met.

In the first encounter, the Warriors went ahead 3-0, SF tied it and Everett won in the second overtime. Monday, the Warriors led 4-0 at halftime, but the Indians came roaring back to tie it with four minutes left on a goal by Jacob Silver, and neither team could score in OT.

"Defensively we came out very flat and dug ourselves quite a hole," SF coach Scott Varner said. "At halftime I told the team we were in the same place we were the last time and fought back and sent it to overtime. We were able to do that again today and force a tie this time. We had chances to win it in regulation, but we hit the woodwork with three shots."

The Indians, who finished 5-12-1 (4-7-1 SHL) got two goals from Chase Varner to give him 28 for the season. Cam McCray scored the third goal and Silver tied it up. Benji Voight had assists on the first and last goal.

Everett (11-4-2) is ranked third in District 5 Class A.
