BOYS SOCCER: Friday's roundup

SHALOM CHRISTIAN 2, SHENANDOAH VALLEY 1 >> Shalom Christian had suffered an earlier one-goal loss to Shenandoah Valley, but Friday night the Flames reversed that decision with a 2-1 non-league victory.

Cyrus Lehman's goal 13 minutes into the second half, on a pass from Jonah Stains, broke a 1-1 halftime tie for Shalom (10-4-1). Stains had scored to tie the game in the first half (Nathan Schaffer assisted) after Shenandoah Valley had scored in the fourth minute.

Flames coach Chris Lehman said, "We played a complete game tonight, other than a mental lapse in the first few minutes. The defense played a solid game and both goals from Cyrus and Jonah were beautiful shots."
