BOYS: Sunday's roundup

Kiski Prep 62, Mercersburg Academy 23: The Mercersburg Academy boys basketball team started strong against Kiski Prep in a non-league game Sunday, but fell flat in the second half in a 62-23 defeat to the Cougars.

Kiski held a five-point lead at the half, and then limited the Blue Storm (5-7) to just three points in the final two frames.

"The guys were banged up after yesterday's big win and I think it just caught up to us in the second half," Mercersburg coach Sean Crocker said. "Kiski did a great job with their pressure."

Mercersburg was led by Luka Sevaljevic and Elliot Hicks, who each scored nine points. Sunday was just the second time this season that Sevaljevic was held under 10 points.

Shaundale Jones scored more than half of Kiski's points, scoring 34 for the Cougars.
