Southern Fulton 62, Forbes Road 39Southern Fulton used a strong first quarter to take a healthy lead over Forbes Road in a Sideling Hill/Inter-County Conference boys basketball game Thursday night.

The Indians grabbed a 23-8 lead after one quarter, and while the Cardinals cut into the lead, they couldn't get within range.

"We had another solid team effort against a very hard-playing opponent," SF coach Kent Hendershot said.

Southern Fulton (12-3, 9-1 SHL, 9-0 ICC) received a 22-point salvo from Trent Rider, and Dylan Gordon backed him up with 14. Branden Lynch scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds, Carl Potter had four assists and Chase Varner contributed three steals.

For Forbes Road (4-11, 2-8 SHL, 2-6 ICC), Matt Brown was the only player to break into double figures, with 10 points.
