The start of the YAIAA spring sports season brought about a story from a team that took the court this past winter: the Dallastown girls' basketball team.

The Wildcats let go of head coach Mary Manlove — who had a successful seven-year tenure at the school — because of, according the Manlove, her "coaching style." The firing took place weeks after a group of parents met with the administration. While the Dallastown administration has not been available for comment before or after the news came out, Manlove was told that some parents and players had complained of abuse, she said. Dallastown athletic director Tory Harvey told Manlove parents and players accused her of verbal, mental and physical abuse against players, Manlove said.

It's an allegation Manlove strongly denied.
