Nwandu scores 1,000th point

It has been an eventful few days for Northeastern's Kobi Nwandu. He had the dunk heard around the county on Friday, another jam on Saturday and on Tuesday he scored his 1,000th career point in Northeastern's win against Dover.

The senior has had a strong season for the Bobcats and has helped lead them to a 12-1 record. During a conversation following Saturday's win over Central, Nwandu credited his teammates for his success this year.

"My teammates are finding me in the right position to score," he said. "I'm trying to cut, get the basketball and my coach is doing a good job drawing up plays for me to get open. I'm just trying to get open. They're executing, getting me the ball and I'm just trying to execute and score. I play within my game. I'm not trying to force anything and work the ball around. They're giving it to me too."

Following his milestone on Tuesday, congratulation tweets started pouring in to Nwandu.
