Poll: YAIAA boys' Athlete of the Week | Sept. 14-Sept. 20

In terms of area golfers this fall season, there’s been a handful that have typically been at the top of the leaderboard.

Andrew Forjan has been one of them. The York Catholic junior has won a number of tournaments in 2015, including this past week when he fired a first-place 69 at a Division III competition at Range End.

In the Division II ranks, Eastern York has picked up where it left off from last year. A number of Golden Knights have had strong campaigns thus far, highlighted by Zach Dixon, Andrew Davis and Kevin Crumbling. Eastern York also won a tournament this past week, a Division II event at Cool Creek.

As for Division I, this past week saw Central York - which also returns a strong squad in 2015 - came out on top at Out Door Country Club. Matt Bricker led the way for the Panthers with a 69, which was second on the leaderboard behind Dallastown’s Blake Sebring’s 68. Also finishing in the top-five for Central York was Gus Minkin (third place, score of 70) and Joe Parrini (tied for fourth place, score of 71).

All three golfing divisions are represented on our latest Athlete of the Week poll. Vote now before things close Monday at 5 p.m.:
