Poll: YAIAA boys' Athlete of the Week | Sept. 7-Sept. 12

It might be early in the season, but that didn’t stop some last-minute heroics from taking place last week on the boys’ soccer field.

We’ll start at Gettysburg, where Matt Yingling scored the game-winning goal in overtime during the Warriors’ 1-0 win over West York on Monday.

Then on Thursday at Dallastown, it was South Western that got a big goal late to top the Wildcats. It came off the foot of Jacob Wells, who netted his go-ahead score with 28 seconds remaining in regulation during the Mustangs’ 3-2 victory. It was Wells’ second goal of the contest.
