Cut-A-Thon to benefit Central York's Peter Falci

A haircut fundraiser will be held Saturday at 2520 N. George St. in York to benefit Central York senior Peter Falci.

Falci was diagnosed with cancer in late February. The Cut-A-Thon will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, and haircuts will cost $10. Food, vendors and free face painting also will be a part of the event. For more information, contact 717-845-2241.

Falci played basketball for Central York and learned of his diagnosis late in the Panthers' season. He is the third current York County high school athlete dealing with a form of cancer.

Dover soccer player Maddie Hill is fighting myelodysplastic syndrome. Northeastern football player Marcus Josey was diagnosed Friday with acute lymphocytic leukemia.

Josey and Falci visited this week in Hershey.
