Poll: YAIAA girls' Athlete of the Week | April 6-11

There were some big offensive performances last week on the YAIAA softball field.

A two-home run game highlighted Sierra Arnold’s week in Eastern York’s 11-5 defeat against West York.

While Gettysburg’s Madelyn Yannetti was strong in the circle for the Warriors, she also cracked three doubles in a 17-0 win over Hanover.

Littlestown’s Kaitlyn Yealy also made some noise offensively. She nearly hit for the cycle in a 12-2 win over Biglerville earlier this week - Yealy went 4-for-4 in the contest - then followed that with a 3-for-4, three RBI effort in an 8-7 defeat to Greencastle.

And then there was Cassie Rickrode of Delone Catholic, who drove in four runs in a 12-11 win over Bermudian Springs. Later in the week, Rickrode was at it again, crushing two home runs in a 21-0 win over Waynesboro.
