Poll: YAIAA girls' Athlete of the Week | Oct. 27-Nov. 1

Two cross country stars stood out this past weekend.

One is no stranger to success: Kennard-Dale’s Kayla White is at the top of the leaderboard more often than not, and she was back at the top once again at the PIAA Championships, finishing 11th overall in the state competition.

The other, on paper, was somewhat of a surprise, simply because of her age: Eastern York freshman Maddie McLain, who happened to finish 23rd overall. No small accomplishment there.

On a state level, there were other contributors as well. Kennard-Dale had two other names pop up, when the tennis doubles team of Evan Boone and Alyssa Miller were both in the state tournament - the only tennis players who qualified from the area - before falling out in the first round.
