NewsVroom heading to Hanover for boys' basketball vs. York Suburban

Look out, Hanover. GameTimePA.com is coming for you.

We'll be taking the NewsVroom to the York Suburban at Hanover boys' basketball game on Friday, Jan. 17.

You'll be able to meet me -- assistant sports editor Jessica Sprenkle -- and fellow assistant sports editor Brittany Wilson at the game. We're really excited to chat with you and hear what's on your mind about the local sports scene, and show you what GameTimePA.com is all about.

We've had some fun in the past with halftime games and contests, so we'll bring a box of goodies along to serve as prizes. Check back soon to find out what games and contests we'll be holding.

We want your trivia questions

The person who guesses closest to the final score will win a prize.

Update

Well this is cool -- we just found out that the Jan. 17 game will also feature a food drive organized by the Hanover Athletic Booster Club. Any student who brings two canned goods or other non-perishable food item to the game will get in free.

The food will be given to Hanover-area food pantries, which help more than 300 families each month. Items needed include canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup, boxes of pasta, macaroni and cheese boxes, peanut butter jelly and boxed desserts.

Hope to see lots of you there with lots and lots of food to donate to those in need!
