How have concussions affected you?
Early into the first Friday night of the high school football season, there was a sudden whack and confusion on the sideline following a punt return.
What was the penalty? Punt return interference?
In fact, the referee had flagged a player during the Central York at West York football game for leading with his head on the tackle. Although interference probably could have been called, the ruling served as a reminder to the hot-button issue of concussions.
That hot-button issue was examined this week on the PBS documentary series Frontline. The two-hour episode, "League of Denial," peers into the "hidden story" of the NFL's concussion crisis.
You can watch the full episode online here, or you can watch it at 3 p.m. Sunday, when WITF re-airs the Frontline episode.
